Horizon Dental Care is Now Open for Non-urgent Dental Services
We are pleased to announce that Horizon Dental Care has been approved by the State of PA to reopen our office for non-urgent treatments on May 8, 2020.
COVID-19 has been a very difficult time for all of us. Many of patients have been forced to wait for dental care. We deeply appreciate their understanding while were limited to treating emergencies only in order to help control the spread of the coronavirus.
We have carefully planned and revised our office procedures to greatly minimize the risk of infection for our patients and our team members. In the current environment, we are taking enhanced precautions and sterilization protocols to ensure that everyone is safe. Please click on and review our Guidelines for Dental Visits during COVID-19
When patients arrive at Horizon Dental Care things will look a bit different particularly with the heightened levels of PPE the doctor and dental staff are wearing. However, practicing universal precautions is always mandatory in a medical facility, so infection protection control procedures have always been a huge part of providing dental care. Patients can also feel comfortable they will receive the same comfortable, caring, and comprehensive dental treatment they have come to count on at our offices.
All patients are being screened for symptoms of COVID-19, such as temperature over 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, cough, or other symptoms, before arriving at the Horizon Dental Care offices. If there is any indication of a possibility of infection, the patient will be asked to cancel their appointment and reschedule later. Social distancing and hands sanitizing practices, the use of masks and placing HEPA air-filtration units throughout the office and waiting areas have been put in place for the safety of patients and staff. Additionally, they are sanitizing high touch surfaces multiple times daily.
Sincerely,
Dr. John Evanish, III
